Portland Intown Contra Dance

August 3, 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm

| $10

Contra dance with music by Polaris and caller Steve Zakon-Anderson at the State Street Church near Longfellow Square.

Polaris (Rose Jackson and Marta Martholomew on fiddle, Sam Zakon-Anderson on piano, and Jesse Ball on accordion, guitar, hammer dulcimer, and foot percussion) is a quartet of young rising stars that rocked here last winter.  They’re back with the nationally-renown Steve Zakon-Anderson. See the PICD website for more info.

This event is part of the weekly Thursday night Portland Intown Contra Dance series.

Dance roles are gender-free. New and experienced dancers of all ages are invited.

$10 at the door.  Enter through the courtyard.

Lesson for first-time dancers at 7:00; dance 7:30-10:00.

Parking is free after 6pm on street around the State Street/West End neighborhood. We recommend budgeting time to find a spot.

Join the Portland Intown Contra Dance Facebook Group for updates and discussion.
