Three Maine performing groups, Zemya, The Maine Squeeze and Djump, will hold a benefit concert on Sunday, February 7 to help raise funds for earthquake relief in Haiti. The proceeds will benefit Konbit Sante, a Portland-based non-profit organization that works to improve the public health system in Cap-Haitien, Portland's sister city in Haiti. A representative of Konbit Sante will make a brief presentation on the situation in Haiti and the work Konbit Sante is doing there.

Zemya is a 10-woman a cappella group known for singing a wide range of world folk music, from the Balkans, Russia and the Republic of Georgia to South Africa, the Americas and the British Isles.
The Maine Squeeze is an all-accordion ensemble that plays eclectic ethnic music from around the world, from traditional foot-tapping polkas to waltzes and zydeco, as well as original tunes.
Djump, based in the Midcoast region, is a 14-person drum and dance ensemble specializing in the music and rhythms of West Africa.
