Downeast Friends of the Folk Arts
Music and Dance for the Maine community
The Cherryfield Contra Dance invites YOU to come and welcome musicians Tamora Goltz and David Stimson with caller Chrissy Fowler, to beautify and exalt our American Legion Hall in Cherryfield with their talent and gifts on Saturday, October 1st from 7 to 10pm. This Dance will be held, NOT in our traditional home at the Cherryfield Academy, but in the building immediately next door on the right, just 200 yards up Route 193 off of Route One. Everyone is invited! All ages! All abilities! Even watchers are welcome to enjoy the lively live music and see how the dancers move to it. All dances are taught, and by Chrissy Fowler no less! Some refreshments and a hydration station will be provided. Feel free to bring your own refreshments, or ones to share but please be Covid conscious in your choices. Covid consciousness is taken seriously. Testing before coming is the ultimate. And please refrain from coming if you are feeling at all sick! Vaccinations and boosters are encouraged but we will not ask for proof. Masking is recommended but is voluntary. Masks and Hand Sanitizer will be available but you are encouraged to bring your own and use both liberally. You will be asked to sign a register with contact information for contact tracing purposes. There is a Suggested Donation for Admission of 10 dollars but please feel free to contribute whatever is comfortable knowing that the proceeds go to the performers and toward renting the Hall. Children are less! Come join the fun! For more information call Jeff at 546-2998.
