Cherryfield Contra Dance

Calling all Larks and Ravens, Robins and Red Winged Blackbirds!  You are cordially invited to join us for a Spring Fling  Cherryfield Contra Dance on Saturday, May 6th from 7 to 10pm.   The Cherryfield Academy Community Center is excitedly hosting a first time appearance by the world traveling and world famous, gifted musician Larry Unger, who will be joined on stage by Ben Foss, one of the shiniest stars in Maine’s Contra Constellation!  Chrissy Fowler will be our caller and coach who is introducing these musicians to our event!  Everyone is welcome – all ages and abilities.  Spectators curious about Contra Dancing and people who just love great live music are enthusiastically encouraged to come!

There will be a refreshment table with snacks.  Come for the cookies, stay for the Dancing:-)  And a hydration station with pitchers of water and cups.   You are most welcome to bring contributions to the refreshments, but please try to keep them Covid safe. Masks and sanitizer will be available and their use strongly encouraged. Testing before coming can be extremely helpful. If you are not feeling well, or know you have been seriously exposed to Covid, or any illness, please refrain from coming.

The Cherryfield Academy is located at 53 Main Street just 200 yards north of Route 1 on Route 193.  There is a 10 dollar suggested donation for adults, with children less.
