Music and Dance for the Maine community
Belfast Flying Shoes presents “Musical Mischief”, Fri, April 1, 6:00 pm at the Bazz, 17 Court St., in Belfast. The renowned contra dance musician and tunesmith, Larry Unger will lead a musicians’ workshop followed by a concert that highlights his varied repertoire – finger-style blues guitar, old-time banjo, original waltzes and fiddle tunes, and plenty of stories about the origins of the music and the people he learned from. The evening ends with an All Comers Band jam session, open to all musicians, with audience members invited to tap their toes and enjoy the music from their seats. $5-20 admission. Doors open at 5:30.
