Belfast summer rehearsals of Maine Balkan Choir – new singers invited

We will reprise that concert in honor of Ukraine Independence Day, in Lewiston Maine for Aug 27th at Saints Peter and Paul Basilica 2 to 4 PM. Proceeds will go toward a charity. We are inviting new singers to join the pre-concert rehearsal schedule in Belfast. (other subgroups are also rehearsing in Ellsworth and Portland Oblast). You do not need to speak Ukrainian in order to join; we will teach you.

In June and July, BELFAST rehearsals will be on Thursday June 29th and Thursday July 6th from 6 to 8 PM. Then in August, the rehearsals will be held on TUESDAYS August 8th, 15th and 22nd. All Belfast rehearsals will be from 6-8 in a meeting room of the Unitarian-Universalist Church in Belfast, 37 Miller Street.

The Lewiston Concert is Sunday August 27th at 2 PM.

There will also be rehearsals of the ELLSWORTH sub-group. St Andrew Lutheran Church Wednesdays June 28, July 5, August 9, 16 and 23.

You are welcome to join even if you don’t speak Ukrainian; even if you ONLY speak Ukrainian; even if you are only a summer resident; even if you have never lived anywhere else; even if you normally sing with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir; even if you have never sung anywhere other than in your car; even if you are a high school student; even if you have three PhDs.
