Bulgarian singing workshop

Elitsa Stoyneva Krastev will lead a Bulgarian singing workshop on Zoom. She will come to Maine at a later date to follow up with an in person workshop (date TBA). Send a message to Maine Balkan Choir on Facebook if you’d like to join in on the Zoom workshop and they will send you a link.  The Zoom workshop is $20. Elitsa will provide payment info. During the workshop(s) she will guide you through the journey of Bulgarian open sounds, offering a wonderful opportunity to explore the rich and vibrant musical traditions of Bulgaria. Whether you’re interested in the intricate harmonies of Bulgarian folk music or the powerful vocal techniques, we will rediscover Bulgaria together, exploring its vocal traditions and cultures, and we will find and experiment with our ‘Balkan voices.’ At the end of the workshop, we will learn and sing songs.
