Cherryfield Contra Dance

The venerable and beautiful hall of the Cherryfield Academy Community Center will be hosting a Contra Dance on Saturday, August 19th from 7 to 10pm!  Everyone is welcome!   This Dance will feature the fiddling phenom Gus LaCasse as our driving force!  The wonderful caller Pat Danscen will provide the direction and will be teaching the Dances! Contra Dancing is a team sport, set to live music, for all ages and all abilities, building something bigger than ourselves and building community in the funnest possible way:-)  All dances are taught, with many helpful fellow dancers!  Spectating is encouraged for those who can’t dance and those who just love live music, or who are curious about the whole hullabaloo:-)  No pressure! There will be a refreshment table on hand and a “hydration station”. You are welcome and encouraged to bring food and non-alcoholicj drink to the hall, either for yourself or to share. The Cherryfield Academy is located at 53 Main Street just a couple of hundred yards north of Route 1 on Route 193. There is a Suggested Donation of 10 dollars for adults. Children are less. But anything more that you can afford is deeply appreciated!
