Cherryfield Contra Dance

Holy Smokes Folks!

It looks like the Cherryfield Academy will once again be filled with the sounds of sparkling tunes and stomping feet as a third Saturday Contra Dance comes to town on Saturday, November 18th from 7 to 10pm!  Thanks to the musical superpowers of Shepsie Eaton on Keys, Bennett Konesni strumming up a storm on Guitar, and by golly we’ve got Molly, with the gilded name Gawler, coming to town with her Fiddle.  This talent trio will be tag teaming calling all the Dances.  Everyone is welcome, no partner necessary, all ages and abilities!  All dances are taught, with many helpful fellow dancers to guide the beginners! Spectating is encouraged for those who can’t dance and those who just love live music, or who are curious about the whole hullabaloo:-)  There will be a refreshment table on hand and a “hydration station”.  You are welcome and encouraged to bring food and non-alcoholic beverages to the hall, either for yourself or to share. The Cherryfield Academy is located at 53 Main Street just a couple of hundred yards north of Route 1 on Route 193. There is a Suggested Donation of 10 dollars for adults. Children are less. But anything more that you can afford is deeply appreciated! The proceeds allow us to pay for use of the hall and to bring in the great performers who make these monthly events possible.
