Cherryfield Contra Dance

Reel excitement is coming to  Cherryfield on Saturday, December 16th from 7 to 10pm at the Third Saturday Cherryfield Contra Dance held at the beautiful and historic Cherryfield Academy Community Center!   There we will be privileged to host the Moose Island Contra Etc (MICE:-) band, a talent pool of Washington County’s finest musicians featuring Alice Schuth on fiddle, Susan Luthin playing octave mandolin and whistle, Joan Lowden on bass, Kara McCrimmin on piano accordion, guitar and Irish whistle and Jim O’Neil playing banjo, button accordion, guitar and bass!  Eustacia Landrum will grace the hall as our caller!  All dances will be taught and everyone is welcome, all ages and abilities.  Spectators curious about Contra Dancing and those who simply love spirited live music are encouraged to come also:-)

There will be a refreshment table with snacks, and a hydration station with pitchers of water and cups. You are most welcome to bring contributions to the refreshments. Masks and sanitizer will be available and their use strongly encouraged.  And if you are not feeling well, or know you have been seriously exposed to Covid, or any illness, please refrain from coming.  To get to the Cherryfield Academy Community Center go to the intersection of Route 1 and Route 193 in Cherryfield and head north on Route 193 for about 500 yards.  The building is on the right.
