Building community in the funnest of ways! We would be so happy to have you join us for the Cherryfield Contra Dance taking place on Saturday, March 4th from 7 to 10pm at the Cherryfield American Legion Hall! The inimitable Gus LaCasse will be setting the place on fire with his kinetic fiddle playing and driving foot percussion while Shepsie Eaton will be calling the Dances! All dances will be taught and everyone is welcome, all ages and abilities. Spectators curious about Contra Dancing and those who simply love spirited live music are encouraged to come also:-)
There will be a refreshment table with snacks, and a hydration station with pitchers of water and cups. You are most welcome to bring contributions to the refreshments, but please try to keep them Covid safe. Masks and sanitizer will be available and their use strongly encouraged. Testing before coming can be extremely helpful. And if you are not feeling well, or know you have been seriously exposed to Covid, or any illness, please refrain from coming. The American Legion Hall is located at 49 Main Street in Cherryfield just 200 yards north of Route 1 on Route 193. There is a 10 dollar suggested donation for adults, with children less. For more information call 546-2998 or email [email protected]
There will be a donation jar for checks or cash offerings from anyone who loves the great building next door and who would like to contribute to its recovery after the recent sprinkler system disaster.
