The Dances of Universal Peace pair chants from world spiritual traditions with simple dance movements.
It is full on winter here in Maine. As we buckle down to ride out the storms, we are grateful to be able to offer Dances of Universal Peace via Zoom. In January, we celebrate the Urs (death anniversary in the Sufi tradition) of Murshid Samuel Lewis (founder of the Dances) and Martin Luther King Jr. Day. MLK said: “Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that.” —Strength to Love, 1963
With love and light, we invite you to come join our dance on Sunday, January 16th at 4pm EST. We will be welcoming Katherine’s husband, David, to join us in leading a chant.
