Maine Balkan Choir Summer Rehearsals in Ellsworth aug 2023 – New Singers Invited

The Maine Balkan Choir was founded in 1998. Since January 2023, we worked on a program of all-Ukrainian songs, and presented a benefit concert in Portland May 21st, you can see the videos of that event here: https://youtube.com/playlist…
We will reprise that concert in honor of Ukraine Independence Day, in Lewiston Maine for Aug 27th at Saints Peter and Paul Basilica 2 to 4 PM. Proceeds will go toward a charity.
We are inviting new singers to join the pre-concert rehearsal schedule in Ellsworth. (other subgroups are also rehearsing in Belfast and Portland Oblast). You do not need to speak Ukrainian in order to join; we will teach you.
The Lewiston Concert is Sunday August 27th at 2 PM.
ELLSWORTH rehearsals: St Andrew Lutheran Church Wednesdays June 28, July 5, August 9, 16 and 23.
You are welcome to join even if you don’t speak Ukrainian; even if you ONLY speak Ukrainian; even if you are only a summer resident; even if you have never lived anywhere else; even if you normally sing with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir; even if you have never sung anywhere other than in your car; even if you are a high school student; even if you have three PhDs.
